All you need to know about Schengen Visa!!!

The Schengen area of Europe consists of 22 European Union countries and 4 non European Union countries. The 26 states currently make up the Schengen Area. They include Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Slovakia, Slovenia, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Switzerland.

If you are planning to own or have a Schengen visa, it will allow you travel freely within the 26 Schengen countries without being subject to border checks. You may travel within the Schengen states for up to 90 total days within a 180-day period.

To travel through Schengen countries, you must fulfill the following entry requirements:

Have a valid passport
Have a valid Schengen visa

However, the Schengen visa is NOT a work permit. It does not allow you to work in the Schengen countries. In order to work in Europe, you need a work permit issued by the individual member state.

You can only get a work permit if you qualify based on the criteria defined by the individual member state. The company who wants to employ you needs to apply for the work permit.
